What grade levels are taught at Grace Christian School? Grace Christian School is a K-8 school and has offered a superior Christian academic experience for over 25 years.
What does Grace Christian offer that sets it apart? Grace Christian School received national recognition when one of our exemplary faculty members was the recipient of the Salvatori Award for Excellence in Teaching, awarded annually by Hillsdale College. We offer a superior phonics based, full-day kindergarten program; foreign language instruction (Spanish) in all grades; an outstanding music program with orchestra and vocal choir; an Accelerated Reading program; and opportunities for students to participate in local and regional spelling, speech, and mathematics competitions. All students also benefit from an outstanding technology program in partnership with the University o Richmond and Boston University. Latin is offered as an optional language to students in 4th-8th grades.Our 3rd through 8th grade students have the opportunity to participate in the Midwest Talent Search, a program for gifted children sponsored by Northwestern University. Our 6th grade students also participate in an annual trip to Washington D.C., and in an annual outdoor education camp. While Grace Christian School provides an excellent academic atmosphere for children to learn within a moral, Christ-centered framework, close relationships between students and their teachers, and parents and teachers, result in a unique and special community of learners. Within this environment, today's learners become Christ-centered leaders of tomorrow.

Are Grace Christian School teachers certified? All of our full-time teachers are fully certified and licensed as elementary educators by the State of Ohio's Department of Education.
Is Grace Christian School certified by the State of Ohio? Grace Christian School has been chartered by the Ohio Department of Education ince 1981. We are also a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
What communities are represented within the student body? While many of our students come from Reynoldsburg, we also have students from western Licking County, Pataskala, Pickerington, Blacklick, Gahanna, Columbus, Whitehall, Westerville, New Albany, Reynoldsburg, Baltimore, Groveport, Canal Winchester and Bexley.
Do I have to attend East Side Grace Brethren Church? While many of our students and their families attend East Side Grace Brethren Church, numerous other churches of various denominations have children represented at Grace Christian School.
Is there transportation provided to the school? Several school districts do provide bus transportation to the school. Please contact us to see which districts participate.
Is there a before and after extended care program available at the school? Yes, we offer a teacher supervised extended care program for our students. The hours of operation are from 7:15-8:30 a.m. and from 3:30-5:30 p.m. There is an hourly charge separate from Grace Christian School tuition and fees.
What curriculum do you use? Grace Christian School uses textbooks that are superior standard texts used in many public and private schools. These are supplemented with Christian textbooks or workbooks in the areas of science, health, social studies, and Bible. The school chooses, from among many publications, those texts which present the material most interestingly and effectively. Our curriculum committee performs a continuous review of available Christian textbooks.
Does Grace Christian School offer tutors? Tutoring is provided for students who may need additional support in certain subject areas. Grace Christian School also offers enrichment materials through the tutoring program, to those students who are gifted academically.
What kind of before or after school "extracurricular" activities do you offer for students? Students in K-8 who are interested in learning more about instrumental music may participate in one of our three orchestras (instruments include violins, violas and cellos). Vocal music options include choir and small ensembles for students in 3rd-8th grades. We also offer a drama club for students in 3rd -8th grade and Interpretive Dance for students in 5th-8th grade. Girls who are interested in scouting can participate in one of the GCS Girl Scout troops (includes girls in K-8th grade). Boys interested in a scouting experience can participate in Grace Brethren Boys - an exciting scouting opportunity within a Christian framework. Middle School optional athletic opportunities continue to expand, however, soccer and basketball are currently offered.
