"And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for You overflows." (1 Thessalonians 3:12).

With our past Serve-a-thons we were able to add capital improvements to GCS including: commercial kitchen, gym floor, bleachers, cafeteria tables, cafeteria/gym separation curtain, outdoor soccer field, and a 4000 square foot pavillion/outdoor classroom.

In 2014, we will be starting a new fundraiser each Spring . . . GCS COLOR RUN!!  Stay tuned for more details about this event.

We are also starting a new outreach project in 2014 - GRACE CLOSE TO HOME.   Ther are so many needs in Columbus . . . right in our own back yard.   People are in abundant need of love and grace.   We are called to evidence this love and grace through 1 Thessalonians 3:12.

Twice  a year, we will ask each GCS family to donate non-perishable food items to help restock the food pantry at East Side Grace Brethern Church.  Grocery bags with lists of needed food items will be sent home every September and January to our school families.  Whether it is one food item or ten food items, all donations will be greatly appreciated.  This food will be used to support local families in the surrounding community.

We have also partnered with a local Organization called Shining Starz (see shiningstarz.net) which is truly the vision  of one lady in our community who has a heart to minister and reach girls and ladies who have become enveloped in human trafficking.  Human trafficking is a huge issue in Ohio and specifically in Columbus.

Every GCS student and family will play a roll in this outreach.   You can serve by:

-  Donating a hygeine item which will be distributed to girls and women on the streets of Columbus.

-  Volunteer one Wednesday a month by preparing a food item, serving the meal at the West Side Church or ministering at the West Side Church.  You can sign up by visiting http://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0f48aaae2aa8-grace

Thank you for serving with Grace Christian School

Roots of the Legacy Fund

The Legacy Fund of Grace Christian School was established in September of 2007 to provide resources for future generations of students.  Our current and future students are champions for Christ, educated to become leaders needed in the 21st century.  At Grace Christian School, a nurturing environment provides spiritual and academic excellence while building strength through diversity.  The Legacy Fund supports these goals through private and public donations beyond traditional tuition and fundraising programs.

The Legacy Society

Beginning in the Spring of 2011, GCS is happy to announce a growing step through the establishment of The Legacy Society. To meet a need expressed by parents, grandparents and Grace Christian School community, this Society will broaden the growth of The Legacy Fund through planned giving, honorariums and corporate matching. One of our supporters expressed their thoughts like this: “When I examined where my giving dollars were going, I realized that although I was contributing to some worthy causes, they were causes being supported by many others. But those many others weren’t likely supporting Grace Christian School.  That’s when I shifted more financial support to Grace Christian School and its educational needs.”
